How to Configure Product Listings in Magento 2

Basically, product listings play a major role in encouraging users to purchase more and search for their desired products from your store. Magento provides the facility of setting the default number product listing to display as per your desire such as grid or list. There are many more configurations in the backend for listing your products effortlessly. So, let’s get started.

Steps to Configure Product Listings in Magento 2:

Step 1: Navigate to Stores>Configuration>Catalog>Catalog and explore Storefront option

Step 2: Now follow the below configuration as per your requirement.

List Mode: Choose as per your requirement from the dropdown that follows 

Grid Only
Grid (default) / List
List Only
List (default / Grid

Products per Page on Grid Allowed Values: Add the number of products that will be displayed on the grid as per your requirement. In case you want to set a list of values then add the numbers using the comma.

Products per Page on Grid Default Value: Add the number you require to set as default for product display per page on the grid.

Products per Page on List Allowed Values: As per your desire add the number that will be displayed per page. In case you want to set a list of values then add the numbers using the comma.

Products per Page on List Default Value: Add the number you desire to set as default for the product displaying per page on the list.

Product Listing Sort by: Select as per your desire to sort your products on the basis of Position, Product Name and Price.

Allow All Products per Page: Select yes to display the users a list of all products.

Remember Category Pagination: Set YES to retain the pagination settings based on customer search with the catalog listings.

Use Flat Catalog Category: For using flat catalog category set YES in this option.

Use Flat Catalog Product: For using flat catalog product set YES in this option.

Swatches per Product: Add the number according to your requirement to display swatches per product.

Show Swatches in Product List: Set YES if you desire to display swatches in the product list.

Show Swatch Tooltip: Set YES if you desire to display swatch tooltips in the product list.

Step 3: Save the Config.
