Multiple reasons are responsible for making Shopify one of the best eCommerce platforms to launch an online webstore with. The pocket-friendly pricing plans, business-friendly apps and features, user-friendly themes, and navigation testify to the fact that Shopify truly knows what an online website needs to give to its customers.

Out of all the amazing things that Shopify has to offer, Shopify apps are the most fascinating ones. With more than 8000 apps, both paid and free, developed by Shopify as well as other Shopify partners that develop apps for the Shopify platform.

Today, this blog is about the SHOPLOCK Login Required Shopify app developed by MageComp, a well-known Shopify partner.

What is SHOPLOCK Login Required?

The SHOPLOCK Login Required app provides robust control over access to product pages, collections & CMS pages on your eCommerce store. With this app, you can seamlessly secure your product information, collections, and CMS pages by requiring customers to log in before accessing the locked content. This ensures that sensitive or exclusive product details remain confidential and accessible only to authorized users.

Additionally, the app offers a passcode key option, allowing visitors to enter a designated code to unlock restricted specific sections. Store owners can tailor access permissions, enabling specific customer groups to view the locked content adding an extra layer of customization and security to their online store. By installing SHOPLOCK, you can confidently manage and protect your product pages, enhancing the overall security and privacy of your eCommerce platform.

Learning Functions of SHOPLOCK Login Required with Use Cases

Functionality #1 – Lock Product Pages

Suppose you own a store with exclusive men’s shirts that you want to make available only to a selected group of customers. By installing this app, you can lock the product page and require customers to sign in or enter a passcode to access the restricted content. This ensures that only authorized individuals, such as VIP customers or members of a loyalty program, can view and purchase these special products.

Let’s learn this with an example:

Suppose you have three products–

  • Arrow Men’s Shirt
  • Lady Martha Skirt
  • Red Men’s Tie.

Now, as you have decided to lock the product page of Arrow Men’s Shirt. For this, you select the product name in the app’s backend section, and it is done. The product page is locked.

Functionality #2 – Lock Collection Pages

Imagine an online clothing store that wants to introduce a women’s wear collection available only to a selected group of loyal customers. Using SHOPLOCK, the store owner can easily lock that collection page, ensuring that only registered customers or those with a designated passcode can access it. This exclusive content remains hidden from the guest customers.

Store owners have the flexibility to manage access permissions, granting entry to specific customer groups and enhancing the overall privacy and security of their luxe products.

Just like the product pages, the admin needs to select the collection name (e.g., Women’s wear), and it will be added to the list.

Functionality #3 – Lock Website Pages

For eCommerce stores, not all pages are meant to be kept accessible for all customers, whether they are registered or guest customers. Privacy Policy page is such a page where some online stores want to grant access to their privacy policy to registered customers only, enhancing confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations.

By utilizing SHOPLOCK, the store owner needs to select the privacy policy page in the app, and the page will be locked. Now, the unregistered visitors will have to either sign up or enter the passcode set by the admin to access the privacy policy page.

Additionally, SHOPLOCK allows store owners to specify particular customer groups with access privileges, providing flexibility in managing the accessibility of confidential information.

Functionality #4 – Passcodes

When an online store has set different passcodes for different customer groups or collections, products, or CMS pages, then keeping track of all the passcodes in one place can be very difficult. But not with SHOPLOCK, as this app provides you with the aid of keeping track of all your passcodes.

In this section, the admin can get complete information about the passcode, such as the lock type, products, collections, and CMS pages that are locked with that passcode, as well as the countries whose customers are locked with that particular passcode.

Besides this, the admin can also auto-generate new passcodes to set for their online store. Not only this but if they want to lock all the products in one click, then they can easily auto-generate a new passcode and select the Apply to all products options. And done. All product pages will be accessed only after entering the assigned passcode.

Settings

SHOPLOCK has looked after every aspect that needs to be maintained to enhance the website security and privacy by allowing admins to decide which page to keep accessible to which customer group.

One such unique feature that SHOPLOCK has to offer is allowing admins to offer their customers a page to enter the passcode instead of being directed to a traditional login page whenever a customer encounters a restricted section. This alternative method offers a more user-friendly experience and flexibility.

For instance, an online store hosting an exclusive pre-launch event may choose to use passcodes instead of mandatory logins, enabling interested customers to swiftly access the locked content by entering a provided passcode. This not only streamlines the user experience but also ensures the security and confidentiality of the restricted sections on the eCommerce store.

From this settings section, admins can also customize the appearance of their passcode entering the page. Admins can select the title of the password entering field, font size of the title, title color, whether to keep the title bold or not, and label of the password field, which will be displayed on the customer’s screen when they have not entered the password.

Admins can also customize the CTA button, which is to be selected after entering the passcode to proceed further. Admins can choose the width, height, color, and border width of the button.

Besides this, admins can customize the entire passcode page along with the page background and the passcode’s card background. The app allows admins to choose the width and height of the passcode card. Also, if there is any information or caution note that the admin wants to display for its customers, then SHOPLOACK allows them to do this, too, from the  Short Note field.

With the ability to hide webpage content either completely or partially, this app ensures that your store’s sensitive information remains secure and confidential.
