There are two methods to set up free shipping discounts in Shopify.
Step 1: To get started, log in to your Shopify account and access the admin panel.
Step 2: Select Discounts from the left menu and then click on Create discount.
Step 3: In the Select discount type, choose the Free shipping option.
Step 4: In the method section, select Discount code and enter the discount code or generate a random discount code for free shipping. Customers need to enter this code at the time of checkout to avail of free shipping on order.
Step 5: Select All countries or Selected countries that are eligible for free shipping.
Step 6: Select the purchase type for free shipping can be applied. Here the options are One-time purchase, Subscription, or both.
Step 7: If you want to exclude shipping rates over a certain amount, check this box and enter the amount.
Step 8: Select the option for Minimum purchase requirements. You can set a minimum purchase amount, or minimum quantity of items, or no minimum requirements option for free shipping.
Step 9: Select the Customer eligibility for free shipping. Choose All customers, specific customer segments, or specific customers option.
Step 10: Specify the Maximum discount uses. You can opt for Limit number of times this discount can be used in total or Limit to one use per customer.
Step 11: Use Combinations to combine free shipping discount with Product discounts or Order discounts.
Step 12: Set the start date and time from which the free shipping discount will be activated. You can also set an end date and time to stop the free shipping discount.
Step 13: At last, click on Save discount.
