# How to set Magento 2 recently viewed products

**Preface:**

Today I will help you to set Magento 2 recently viewed products to help the customers for finding their recently searched products which they kept on hold for some specific reasons.
**Steps to set Magento 2 recently viewed products:**

**Step 1:** Navigate to Admin Panel>content>Widgets

**Step 2:** Tap on Add Widget:

**Step 3:** Select Recently Viewed Products and select your appropriate theme that is used on your website and click on continue.

**Step 4:** Now you will be redirected to **Storefront Property Settings**.
Configure the settings as per your requirement.
**Widget Title:** Add Appropriate title for your widget instance
**Assign to Store Views:** Select according to your requirement:
**Sort Order:** Sort Order of widget instances in the same container

**Step 5: Add Layout Update:** Select **Generic Pages>Specified Page:** Select Page and container as per your requirement.
Now Select the template and after that select display pages as per given below in the below screenshot

**Step 6:** Now go to the Widget Options for adding the number of products to display

**Save** the **Configuration** and **refresh the Cache.**

That’s It.
You can check in the Widgets section that will display the added widget.
